Seven new videos added to our Endless Worlds course – The Crossy Frogger Project!
Our latest Swift and Sprite Kit video tutorial series just got 7 new videos! Alright, one is a quick introduction, but the rest are hearty additions. In this 3rd session, we take our previous project and give it a few modifications to turn it into a Frogger / Crossy Road type game. Okay, okay, Crossy Road is already a Frogger type game (more credit to the original). But the original Frogger was never an endless game. I seem to remember jumping into some slots at the top of the screen. So in our endless project we’ll just keep adding row after row of either water or road to cross, each one is a LevelUnit class. And within our LevelUnits, we have Objects, which are either the cars or lily pads. These Objects can have different physics properties, for example, the character can ride on the lily pad, but if the car hits the character, you’re dead (and we reset the game).
