So it’s your first time with Xcode and the Story Tellers iOS Starter Kit 2…. Now what?

So you’ve never used one of CartoonSmart’s starter kits before? Heck, maybe you’ve never even used Xcode before? Well you’re at the right place at the right time. Xcode 7 now makes laying out AND timeline based-animating possible within the program. So as an illustrator or animator, you have the unique chance to craft an entire storybook, without laboring through the design in a separate program. And the coding is covered too, since we’ve taken care of programming it!

This video will show you how to setup your scene, drop in sprites (images), particles, light emitters, and even flip on physics properties, as well as show you how to animate using simple actions that are dropped onto a timeline. Then in the second half, you’ll learn the fundamentals of using the property list to interact with your in-scene elements.
