Introduction to the Player Class

This short video will introduce some of what’s ahead when we create a custom Player class using Swift and Sprite Kit. In the upcoming videos we’ll use a dictionary in the main Property List to define upgradeable Player Classes. Initially the game will pull from the dictionary labeled “Starting” but we’ll make it so Items or Levels can initiate upgrades to the Player class, allowing for different stats, animations, etc. .
