How can i move a character with an dpad, thumbstick or similar onscreen controls like in the platform kit? Can someone help me with this? The documentation shows only the solution for the TVos version but i like to test this on my iPhone.

The controls in the Platform Games Kit are taught in this course…

Swift and Sprite Kit Control Systems Video Tutorials

Or if you’re looking for simple swipe gestures, this course discusses that as well…

tvOS Video Tutorials for Game Development with Swift 2 and Sprite Kit

You might want to check that out, because I actually kind of prefer some of the quick swipes for moving characters. Its not the fanciest way of doing it, but it can be fun.

Also if you wanted to just take the code from the Platform Games Kit, just look for the touchesBegan, touchesMoved, touchesEnded functions. Most of it should be in there.
