I moved the chest from the grassland and placed it in the dungeon. The chest now unlocks without a timer bar (set in properties) and intermittently disappears and reappears (set to removebody). It does pay out the reward.
Oh try removing the physics body on the chest and then setting it again. Sprite Kit has a bug where if you copy an object from one scene to another, it loses the physics body (even though it appears to still be there).
Took a look at the project. So copying items from one scene file to another must just not be the way to go. You had everything right, it just wasn’t working. But when I pulled in a new Color Sprite from the object library, set the name and Custom Class the timer popped right up.
Just one of those odd Sprite Kit bugs. I don’t even know how to bug report that to Apple because on the surface it looks like everything is fine.
