I am trying to move the camera to a different part of the scene but the SKReferenceNode (where I have my navigation) does not move with the camera.

Here is what I am trying to do: I have a large background and I want the camera to move from one portion to another, even zooming in by adjusting the scale. However, my navigation buttons are not following the camera and I couldn’t find a setting to make it a Parent.

I’ve watched the videos but do not see this feature.

    How can I achieve this?

Yeah you definitely want to make those items a child of the Camera. Its right under where you name the node. The current parent probably says SKScene or its greyed out. But unfold it and you’ll see all the other nodes, including the camera.

Unless SKReferenceNodes can’t have parents. In which case, you’ll just need to remove the items and put them directly into the scene.
