Role Playing Games Tutorial with Sprite Kit and Swift 3 - Part 22

Switching Items to an Open Appearance

Role Playing Games with Sprite Kit and Swift 3 - Part 22 Switching Items to Open
In this Swift / Sprite Kit tutorial we’ll write a function that will eventually run anytime an item is contacted that rewards an inventory item, which will then check to see if another item in the scene should switch to its “open” state based on requirements met. So for example, the player picks up a castle key, then the castle door opens. We’ll also add code in the World Item class to sort through the Appearance dictionary in the property list to store String data for the OpenImage or OpenAnimation states.
