‘Tis official folks. Get ready to make your own Game of Life style board game for iOS or tvOS. Suggest any features you’d love to see in this next kit.

The tentative game play is we’ll work up to it by doing a Card Games iOS / tvOS tutorial first in April, then continue that in a Board Games tutorial, and of course culminate everything in another hugely ambitious property-list driven starter kit for both iOS and tvOS.

    Hi Justin,

This kit will be amazing! Are you planning to integrate IAP for devices and TV? It would be great…

Definitely, I need to do that for the Pinball and Platform Kits as well. I’ll sweep through and do them all at once real soon. Thanks for the reminder! =)

And since we’re on the topic again, worth noting the Card and Boards Games iOS and tvOS Tutorials are rolling in now.

Hi Justin, I’ve already seen that you updated the kits with IAP, thank you!

Hi Justin, when will we start with the “board”-part of the Kit?

Now that Swift 3 is almost out of Beta, I’m going to jump back into the course with the “Board” sections being setup from scratch with Swift 3. Then I’ll fold the Card portion into that (converted for Swift 3). In fact this week, I was planning to go ahead and convert the Card parts to Swift 3 and get that more into kit form.

Anyway, haven’t forgotten about it, just the move from Swift 2.3 to 3 has made teaching more Swift 2.3 kind of pointless right now. Plus I think there’s some cooler stuff worth looking into at the moment with messaging apps. =)
